our certifications
We are committed to transform the textile industry, and work with a number of certifications at fiber, yarn and fabric level.
Here you can find some of our certifications, but there are many more.

GOTS
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is verifying the organic farming process and also limiting the use of toxic bleaches, dyes and other chemical inputs during the different stages of the manufacturing process. This means that the seeds used have not been genetically modified (GMO). Neither pesticides nor synthetic fertilizers were used in its cultivation, thus benefiting biodiversity. On top of that, GOTS certified sites are required to meet strict social and environmental requirements.

OCS
The Organic Content Standard (OCS) certifies that the materials used in our fabrics are actually grown organically.
This means that the seeds used have not been genetically modified (GMO). Neither pesticides or synthetic fertilizers were used in its cultivation, thus benefiting biodiversity.

GRS
The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certifies that our fabrics are actually recycled, not only by ensuring that the used materials are recycled but also that they are maintained throughout the different stages of the production process. On top of that,GRS sites are required to meet strict social and environmental requirements.

ecolabel
The EU Ecolabel is a label of environmental excellence that is awarded to products and services meeting high environmental standards throughout their life-cycle: from raw material extraction, to production, distribution and disposal. Its criteria provide exigent guidelines for companies looking to lower their environmental impact and guarantee the efficiency of their environmental actions through third party controls.
Our carbon neutral seaweed fiber has been awarded with the EU ecolabel, ensuring high excellence environmental standards complying with the EU criteria for ecological agriculture.

fsc
FSC® certification provides credible confirmation for products with environmentally and socially responsible sources to access the market. It guarantees that our wood comes from a sustainable management of forests, with no deforestation and strong communities. The trees that are harvested are replaced or allowed to regenerate naturally and the people have the right to use the forests and their sacred sites are protected from felling. All the wood is tracked from the forest to the store, ensuring traceability and that the wood is FSC certified.
All of the wood used to develop our fibers is FCS® certified.

usda biopreferred program
Managed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the BioPreferred program aims to increase the purchase and use of biobased products. The USDA certified biobased product label assures a consumer that the product contains a verified amount of renewable biological ingredients (referred to as biobased content). Consumers can trust the label to mean what it says because manufacturer's claims concerning the biobased content are third-party certified and strictly monitored by USDA.
Several of our fibers have been awarded with the 100% USDA certified biobased product label, including our seaweed based fiber and our PLA.

bluesign
Bluesign® certifies a production that does not use any toxic or carcinogenic substance. It forces brands to be limited in energy and water and requires them to develop a sustainability plan to limit the amount of water and energy needed for production and to ensure responsible waste treatment. It also imposes constraints on air quality and CO2 emissions.

oekotex standard 100
Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex® guarantees that every part of the item is tested to make sure products are safe for consumer use. It notably reviews various regulated and non-regulated substances and often goes beyond national and international requirements to ensure all processing chemicals are non-toxic.
All of our fibers are Standard 100 certified on a class I level, meaning they comply with the strictest requirements and limit values, which makes the product suitable for babies.
