Founded by Regina Polanco, PYRATEX® started its R&D phase back in 2014, participating in incubator and accelerator programs in Germany, France and Spain and collaborating with independent textile institutes such as Aitex and the STFI.
With the mission to replace synthetic textiles with natural and responsible ones, today PYRATEX® is a pioneer in textile innovation, developing materials with new fiber alternatives such as seaweed based fiber, agricultural waste and recycled fibers.
The PYRATEX® fabrics are engineered to retain the fibers natural properties, bringing functional qualities to the final garments.
Leading the change towards responsibility and true to its tagline “Advancement through nature”, PYRATEX® works hand in hand with fashion creators that wish to advance in the direction of natural innovation such as Fiorucci, Pangaia, AZ Factory, Phillip Lim, Camper or Asics.
Meet the PYRATEX® team. Between Mexico City and its Madrid headquarters, the team offers extensive knowledge in Research & Development, Supply chain and Production, Business Development, Marketing & Communication, Legal, Finance, Logistics, and Fashion Design.
At the PYRATEX® office, you can hear more than 7 different languages spoken, among these, English, Spanish and French are the official ones in the office.
